Pearl carpet of Baroda
Just in case you’ve missed postings on various boards/groups about this carpet up for sale at Sotheby’s, circa 1865….
The starting bid is $5 million U.S for this 5’8″x8’8″ carpet made of pearls, glass beads, diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires. The foundation is deer hide and silk, and this is one of what was originally four panels. Read on Sotheby’s listing for more information.

I KNOW! It’s interesting to read about, a bit dense, but if you feel awake enough…. 🙂
