  • Herringbone rope

    I really like herringbone. This goes quickly — I do essentially two stitches at once, so four beads per stitch. I like adding larger beads within the rope, but these hex beads have huge holes, and these seeds can fit inside them. This makes it a little awkward, but it still works!

  • Ceramic bead necklace

    Originally, I was thinking of hanging the bead vertical, with perhaps black teardrop beads hanging beneath the ceramic bead, capped by the bead cap. After looking at the proportions, I liked it more with the bead horizontal. Also, the pink/red beads appear to be more of an accent this way, rather than dominating the design.…

  • Ceramic bead hats

    I’m hoping the final necklace looks better than these “hats!” I was thinking of those bead balls when I made this; trying to make half a bead ball. That obviously didn’t work. With this one, I was hoping to get it to lay more flush to the ceramic bead, but instead I get this floppy…

  • Another necklace with pink beads!

    I seem to be on a pink kick — though for my defense, I think of this as more of a soft red. It’s a lovely greasy soft pinkish-red, and I bought all the hanks that were on display at this particular store.
