Beading for a Cure 2013, step 2
I’m making progress! I like it – these, and others, will be strung with the addition of the other beads in the kit. My addition to the kit is the size 11 matte pink beads; the kit comes with the same color in 8s.

Through the Voices of Beads exhibit
Opening September 8th at the Ball’s Falls Centre for Conservation in Jordan, Ontario, is “Through the Voices of Beads.” This exhibition reveals the meanings expressed in Iroquois beadwork, and shows that this art form still thrives. I recently purchased this barrette by Montana artist Arlee Castle. He does immaculate work. I have always been intrigued by horsehair braiding.
Tila spiral
This isn’t done, but here’s a sample of a third spiral from Claudia Schumann’s Spiralketten. It’s very cool, a great design! This is going to be set aside while I finish up Beading for a Cure, but it shouldn’t take long to complete when I have time again. This one is for me!
