I (awkwardly) knit a scarf with an extreme thick-and-thin multicolor yarn years ago, and looked in my collection of wool to make a complementary hat. I also wanted to try a new stitch, auditioning it for maybe a larger future project. This is Dalarna, a bit of a different stitch as far as its mechanics, and it creates a beautiful texture.
