Co-worker bead gifts
I often make beaded gifts for co-workers; this year’s gift is Gwen Fisher’s spinning top bead, intended as a small Christmas ornament, but it could certainly be a glitzy pendant.

Super cute! Thank you for posting this. I love that you made them as gifts. I’m honored. I need to mention that this pattern was joint work with Florence Turnour. The fringe method for covering a core bead was her discovery, not mine, but I helped her write the pattern.
Thank you, Florence, for the idea! It was quick and fun – I used a black plastic bead underneath for contrast. It was a well-received gift, thank you for writing up and sharing the instructions.
These are beautiful and a wonderful idea! Thank you for posting it on the web!
Fun little things, aren’t they! In these colors, they really do look like tiny ornaments; those are 8mm beads as the armature. Thank you!
