    Ending soon at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis is an exhibit of Queen Silvia’s Nobel Gowns. Queen Silvia is a beautiful woman, very active in charities supporting children. Silvia Sommerlath wed King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden in 1976, shortly after he ascended the throne. The gowns shown date from the 70s to today.…

  • Bead Dreams 2008

    Eighty works are available for viewing online, if you haven’t seen this yet.  In a quick peek, I see slews of large necklaces, as in previous years, and a few sculptures.  I don’t think I saw a single vessel.  Off to do more looking!

  • Beaded Mask Exhibition

    A half dozen or so people I know participated in this exhibition, put on by the Beadin’ Path in Freeport, Maine.  Everyone started with the same white plastered paper mask, and look at the results!
