BFAC 2010, complete
It’s done! The finished length is 17″, with another two inches available with the sterling chain at the back. The clasp is also sterling, and the stained glass components are made by Carol Dosse using lead-free solder. The back pendant showcases lampwork by Laurie B. Smith. As the rules for Beading for a Cure state, I have used at least one of every bead in the kit, without adding any additional beads The watery feeling of the beads is complimented by the color of the stained glass, and the silver of the solder and the findings. We are asked to name our piece; this is Glass Waves.
Now, it’s time to finish the paperwork, and it’s off to BFAC photography headquarters, aka Out on a Whim!

Drop dead gorgeous Dulcey!
Thanks, Ellen! Isn’t it interesting which bead is emphasized by different people? This one is all about the bugles….
Wow! Very lovely.
Thank you, Melody! It will be fun to play with the other glass pendants I have, to make something for myself. Eventually!
Awesome! I love how it turned out.
Thank you AJ! I’m so glad my idea worked. It’s so frustrating when mind pictures turn out to be bead scribbles.
I think those bugles are a delicious colour & you matched them perfectly with the glass..
The bugles were definitely the beads that jumped out at me in the kit, so I took advantage of them. Thank you! Carol did the color matching – we both like blues and greens, so she had choices in her glass on hand.
This is covetable. Love the stained glasswork, too.
Thank you, Linda! And you know the stained glass person too. I wore it for part of a day to test how it lays, and it would be great with a scoop-neck shirt or tank. NOW, to make one for myself….
